Remote training

Training isn’t just a matter of improving skills – it can also build confidence and well-being, particularly if the subject spans creativity and craft. Though it might not feel like a good time to book a series of in-person training workshops, remote training can tick as many boxes.

This has been a hard year for all of us and it can be tricky to feel motivated in the shadow of huge problems and uncertainty. With this comes flattened morale, a sense that we’re not achieving anything and sluggish productivity. But low periods can be a good time to take stock, enrich our thinking and broaden our perspective. People can come away from a good training course fizzing with ideas and keen to try out their new skills.

Remote training can be fitted around work commitments – there’s no need to do one of my courses in a single sitting, so long as you complete the 2-3 hour course within a month. You’ll also get constructive feedback on your work and there’s the opportunity to get into a dialogue with others within the modules. The courses are a mixture of video meetings (you are welcome to have your camera off if you prefer!) and digital course materials.

Courses include clear writing (think the pin-sharp precision of a poetic image, as well as intelligible, confident writing), engaging writing (vivid imagery, persuasive points and charisma) and inclusive writing (empathy, awareness and finding a bigger perspective). I can also construct a bespoke writing course around your needs or brand values.
